It’s thought that Ernest Hemingway wrote his first short story at the age of 10. The text, about a trip around Europe, was discovered by historians after his death and initially believed to be a diary account, as the realism and imagery were so accurate. Later, it transpired that this was simply Hemingway’s creative brain working full-throttle at a young age.
