Interesting fact:

Whilst the Berlin wall has fallen, the East / West divide can still be seen from space. Why? Each side uses different bulbs for their street lights! The West Germans used a paler hue, whilst the East used a warmer one, and the difference can still be seen when flying into Berlin at night.
